Science, Art & Society represents the human and cultural dimension of the SGEM WORLD SCIENCE (SWS) Scholarly Society — a multidisciplinary scholarly space where Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities contribute their own methods, perspectives and forms of knowledge to the wider SWS academic world.
Here, scientific inquiry meets the questions that define human experience: how societies evolve, how people communicate and organise themselves, how cultures preserve memory, how ideas influence behaviour, and how creativity helps us interpret realities that cannot always be expressed through data alone.

Science, Art & Society brings together two broad and closely connected academic spheres.

Social Sciences examine the structures and dynamics of society — from economics, education and psychology to communication, governance, social transformation and the changing relationships between people, institutions and technologies.
02Arts & Humanities
Arts & Humanities explore human thought, cultural memory, creativity and expression through fields such as philosophy, history, literature, architecture, cultural studies and the visual, applied and performing arts.
Their methods may differ, but their questions frequently intersect.
Together, they help us understand not only how the world works, but also what it means to live within it.
